Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Crew Foreman to lead a team of 3-4 crew members in the construction of bridges and boardwalks in the Midwest area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a crew of 3-4 employees on bridge and boardwalk construction projects in the Midwest.
- Ensure project timelines are met with high quality results
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure project compliance with plans and specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and telehandlers as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards.
- Train and develop crew members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of on-site construction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a crew foreman in bridge and boardwalk construction.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators and telehandlers.
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within Wisconsin, Illinois,
Minnesota, Iowa, and Michigan.
